Antonio Brenes, Head Chef
Antonio has a degree in business administration, specializing in cuisine and tourism activities. He has worked as teacher in the administration of food/drinks at the University College of Cartago, the INA, and the Latin University of Costa Rica. As head chef of Selva Verde, Antonio leads the gastronomic philosophy based on nutritional balance of the menu, organoleptic characteristics, and the continuous improvement adhering to international quality standards. Antonio is also responsible for training and mentoring the kitchen staff. The menu is based on traditional Costa Rican cuisine, with an emphasis on regional specialties. All of this, along with good practice, allows Selva Verde to provide authentic, sustainable food, packed with Costa Rican pride.
Kengiy Aldemar Sánchez Barrantes, Bartender
Kengiy is a dynamic, outgoing person with a lot for mixing and creating drinks. He treats mixology as an art and science, and commits to capturing the spirit and taste of every beverage, both traditional and foreign. Kengiy has been bartending for over ten-years, honing his skills and learning all the tricks to meet the needs of even the hardest-to please palates. He takes pride in creating a once in a lifetime experience for every customer.
