Selva Verde Lodge Receives “Safe Travels” Stamp

We are pleased to announce that Selva Verde Lodge, with the help and endorsement of the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT), has obtained the World Travel and Tourism Council’s "Safe Travels" stamp. “Safe Travels” is the world’s first standardized travel and tourism safety and hygiene seal, designed by the WTTC in response to COVID-19 and similar outbreaks.
The seal represents Selva Verde’s ongoing commitment to providing authentic experiences and high-quality service while ensuring traveler health and safety. It will allow tourists to recognize Selva Verde as a lodge that implements health and hygiene best practices, both outward-facing and behind-the-scenes, that are aligned with WTTC’s requirements.
Like the protocols that the ICT has developed, the WTTC has taken into account current guidelines from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other industry leaders. The effort has received backing from the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Furthermore, the WTTC’s protocols are living documents that will be updated as new information on COVID-19 becomes available.
